Wind turbine application: Where are we now?
After a big effort, and despite a lot of local support, our application was finally refused by South Glos Council. It was a big disappointment to us as we really wanted to become carbon positive in our energy requirements.
New on-site shop at Marshfield
After years of people just rocking up to the farm to buy ice cream we have decided to make it official and open a small ice cream shop on-site. It is located in the old ice cream factory, and you can buy all the flavours you see here on the website in all the pack sizes.
Tutti Frutti is 2011’s new flavour
Every year at Marshfield Farm we like to introduce a new ice cream flavour, and we are delighted to announce that 2011’s fresh flavour is that much-loved Italian retro classic, Tutti Frutti. The decision was reached after a postal vote among our top customers.
Marshfield applies for wind turbine
Marshfield Ice Cream has applied to South Gloucester District Council for planning permission to develop a single wind turbine at Oldfield Farm. The proposed turbine will enable us to generate the equivalent of all the electricity the dairy uses each year from renewable sources.
