MARSHFIELD ICE CREAM NEWS

Press Release Marshfield Farm Icecream wins Great Taste Award - May 2009

Get fit... eat ice cream

A leading sports magazine recently published an article on foods to eat and those to avoid if you want to get fit and no, you don't have to stop eating ice cream - providing you eat the proper stuff such as Marshfield Farm's (it did not mention us by name but ours is the proper stuff!)

The recommended foods came as no surprise, and although ice cream was on the 'foods to avoid' list, the article did say that traditional ice cream in sensible amounts is not all bad. There was no mention as to which, if any, flavours make you play better, run faster or swim better!

Ice Times number 5 out now

Have you seen the latest issue of Ice Times, the twice yearly newsletter from Marshfield Farm Ice Cream? If not, ask you local stockist if they have any copies or contact Marshfield direct on 01225 889221.

Marshfield scoops more scoop sites

The number of venues across the south west where you can buy Marshfield Farm Ice Cream in cones (these are called scooping sites) is now at an all time high.

New sites include Quaywest in Paignton; The Boat House in Dawlish Warren; Below Decks in Torquay; the Cliff Cafe in Babacombe... and lots more.

Will Hawking, the man who creates the flavours, makes the ice cream and owns the business, puts Marshfield's growing popularity down to two main reasons: a general increase in ice cream consumption and, more importantly for Marshfield, a big increase in the popularity of locally produced ice cream.

Pub chain takes on Marshfield

Cardiff based Brains Brewery, major sponsors of Rugby Union's grand slam winning Welsh team, have put Marshfield Farm Ice Cream on the menu in all their 200+ pubs. (Our apologies to supporters of the England, Scotland, Ireland, France and Italy for the reference to the Welsh team in this piece!!)
