Do you do any form of freezer deal?
Yes. Please click here to read about our current freezer deals. Because we buy hundreds of freezers every year on behalf of customers, we are able to offer excellent savings which we pass on in full. We also often include free ice cream stock if you commit to buying Marshfield Ice Cream. New freezers are covered by a one year warranty. Our freezer supplier also offers a comprehensive maintenance service.

What temperature should the ice cream be stored at?
For long-term storage, minus 18C or colder. If you are scooping the ice cream, you may wish to run your freezer very slightly warmer to make it more scoopable. Many people run their freezers at minus 16C in these situations.

How many scoops should I be getting from a 4 litre and Napoli tub?
With proper management, you will get 30-35 scoops from a 4 litre tub and 40-45 scoops from a Napoli tray.

What is the best way to look after my scooping ice cream?
Luckily, it does not require much special attention. However it is worth doing the following: make sure the freezer is out of direct sunlight and compressor vents are unobstructed; condensation on glass sliding lids should be wiped off regularly to prevent ice build up; and keep some clean lids and cover the tubs every night, as this prevents ice forming on the surface of the ice cream.

How do I stop ice crystal forming in the ice cream?
Make sure you always shake excess water off the scoop; make sure that your freezer is cold enough and doesn’t fluctuate in temperature too much; and cover the half used tubs over night with lids.

Who do I contact re marketing/media coverage?
Please send your queries to Dawn Hawking by email at dawn@marshfield-icecream.co.uk

Are your hygiene standards regularly audited?
We directly employ our own Compliance Officer from EHA Ltd, Nick Land. Nick carries out extensive announced and unannounced auditing procedures in our factory and is a very hard task master! We believe that our health and hygiene standards are second to none. We achieved 5 stars in our Local Authority ‘Scores on the Doors’ Hygiene Audit this year. (Incidentally, we do not believe that BRC Accreditation is the most suitable form of certification for a business like ours. We prefer a more practical and less bureaucratic standard that focuses more on high standards of production hygiene, and careful risk assessment.) We welcome customer visits and audits.
