Tart chunks of rhubarb are folded through a thick, creamy vanilla custard base. If that wasn’t good enough, we’ve swirled a luscious rhubarb ripple throughout the ice cream for extra mouth-watering sweetness. We’re excited to announce that Rhubarb & Custards has won 1 Star at the Great Taste Awards, and Highly Commended in the Taste of the West 2018 Awards.
Here’s a comment from the judges of Great Taste: ‘Rhubarb and Custard in an ice cream! This tastes like real old-fashioned ice cream with deep creaminess, lovely soft texture and beautifully rippling colour from the rhubarb. The ice cream is not too sweet, and the rhubarb has been added with a light hand to give just enough, providing acidic contrast. A winning combination, beautifully balanced.’
This flavour is now available in 1 litre, 4 litre and 5 litre tubs. We love the flavour on it’s own, but for an extra special treat, blend it with fresh whole milk for a deliciously tart thickshake.
