Trade FAQs

  • Can you tell me more information on the Dog ice cream?

Scoop’s Ice Cream for Dogs is a frozen treat to get tails wagging. Based on our standard Vanilla ice cream mix, we’ve then reduced the sugar, fat and lactose content to suit sensitive tummies. We’ve also added Joint Aid for Dogs, a dog supplement from our friends at GWF Nutrition designed to maintain healthy joints and aid freedom of movement, including:

    • Hemp rich in Omega 3 – for a glossy coat
    • Vitamin C – for the immune system
    • Curcumin – a natural anti inflammatory
    • Glucosamine – for joint care

  • How can I become a stockist?

For further trade information please email so we can assist you. Please make sure you include your business name and full address so we can put you in contact with one of our Sales Representatives across the country. You will be sent a new customer introduction pack, which covers everything you need to know including our price list and details of special offers on freezers and point of sale items.

  • What are the pack sizes and what flavours do you do?

Scoop’s Ice Cream for Dogs is only available in 125ml tubs and in one flavour: Vanilla. This is available to Trade in cases of 24, please talk to your supplier for list price info.

  • What is your licence number?

Our APHA licence number is: 34/420/0029 ABP/PTF

  • Do you offer national distribution?

We do make local deliveries so please contact us about availability and distribution. For customers outside of our 30 mile delivery area, we will put you in touch with frozen food wholesalers who cover the whole of the UK.

  • What POS is available to advertise the product and do you do freezer deals?

We have A4 posters and roundel stickers (with or without a price point) available to help advertise your ice cream sales. We also have pavement stands for outside use, these are charged at £29 per stand.

  • Can humans eat it?

This product has been designed as a product for your pet dog, although the majority of the ingredients are not harmful to humans we do advise that humans do not eat it.  The health supplement added to the ice cream contains traces of crustaceans and oats (gluten).

  • Can cats eat it?

This product is designed for dogs and has not been tested for cats to consume.

  • Does it need to be kept seperate from 'human' ice cream?

We recommended it is stored in a separate freezer from human ice cream to prevent mistaken purchases.

  • Why is there no spoon in the lid?

In an aim to reduce single use plastic, we decided to remove the plastic spoon from this packaging. We have found most dogs are more than happy to lick the ice cream directly from the tub and including a spoon in the lid (if accidently consumed by over enthusiastic pups) might cause a choking hazard!

  • Can I send you a photo of my dog enjoying it?

Of course! We love seeing all our furry fans enjoying their dog ice cream, in fact – we’ve set up a Scoop’s Ice Cream for Dogs Instagram page to showcase them!

Please tag us in your photos on Instagram under, you can search for us under ‘scoopsdogicecream’. We try to repost as many of the photos as we can but we’re afraid we can’t share them all! But rest assured, when you tag us, this will automatically add your photo to our tagged images so all our followers can see your pooch enjoy their tub.

  • How many can my dog eat?

Scoop’s is made to be eaten as an occasional, frozen treat after a long walk along the beach or to cool down our furry friends on a hot day. While there are no governmental guidelines on quantities of frozen treats allowed in a dog’s diet, one tub is a single serving and we advice not to give any dog more treats than your vet would recommend.
