Frequently Asked Questions

During the festive period, our delivery dates may vary and our office closes over Christmas, meaning customer service will be limited.

Local Customers

Our deliveries will run as usual until 22nd December, when our business will close for Christmas. Normal deliveries will resume from Tuesday 2nd January 2024.

National Customers

Deliveries will run as usual until 21st December, with a reduced service until Tuesday 2nd January 2024. We recommend getting your orders in by Tuesday 19th December for delivery in time for Christmas.

For Local Home Delivery customers, we have allocated delivery days depending on your postcode. If you need to reschedule, please email home@marshfield-icecream.co.uk and we will try to help, however this may mean waiting until the following week when your postcode delivery day comes around again.

If you choose to reschedule your National Home Delivery, you will not be entitled to a refund or to have your parcel re-sent to you. As our national parcels are sent in dry ice, this will not keep frozen for more than 24 hours from leaving distribution.

We offer a 'Click and Collect' option for people to order ice cream online and collect from the farm.

Our collection times are every Friday from 10am-4pm and our ordering system allows you to select a date and time at checkout.

Our Click and Collect desk is situated in our ColdStore, the large green building at the top of the farm. For any questions, please email home@marshfield-icecream.co.uk.

Please notify home@marshfield-icecream.co.uk with any problems within 3 working days of expected delivery. Any problems reported after this time will not be able to be investigated further.

To help our customer service team, please ensure you include your order number and confirm the delivery address within your email, as well as highlighting the problem.

We have two Home Delivery options depending on your locality to our farm.

Please help us re-use our National Home Delivery packaging insulation by sending them back to us.

We offer a free returns program. We ask that you send a minimum of 4 boxes worth of liners (enough to fill a box) back to us, but the more liners you can collect and send in one go the better as this is more efficient – environmentally and economically.

All we ask you to do is email home@marshfield-icecream.co.uk and we will send you a label to attach to the box and ret urn via DHL Service Point.

You can find your nearest DHL Service point

For Local Home Delivery, your ice cream is hand delivered by our team of Marshfield Farm drivers, meaning we save packaging by not using a box in the first place! Wahoo.

Our National Home Delivery uses dry ice in insulated boxes to keep the ice cream frozen.

Dry ice is safe and will be sent in a sealed, labelled envelope. Please do not open the contents and touch it directly with your hands as it can cause freezer burn. Once you have unboxed your delivery, leave the dry ice in a well-ventilated space (away from little hands!) for 24 hours or until it is fully evaporated. All that will be left is the wrapper it came in which can be dispose of in normal waste.

How to dispose of DeliverMOO packaging:

  • Cardboard Box: This is 100% recyclable and can be recycled at home in your card recycling.
  • LinersWe use state of the art recycled off cuts from the cotton industry. These are offcuts that would previously have been going into landfill – giving garments a longer lifeCotton is biodegradable and 100% reusable. We are accepting clean liners back to the farm for re-using (please see below FAQ)
  • Dry Ice Barrier Bag: Once the dry ice has evaporated, separate the bubble from the paper envelope, and recycle as normal.
  • Ice Cream TubsThe plastic lids and cardboard bases are widely accepted in local curb side collections.

Our DeliverMOO covers most of the UK, through our Local Home Delivery and National Home Delivery.

To find out which you fall into, please use our handy postcode checker.

We can deliver almost anywhere in the UK, however some areas of the Scottish Highlands and Islands are not within a next-day shipping zone and therefore we cannot sustain a frozen temperature for the time it takes to deliver here.

At checkout, an error message will pop up if we are unable to deliver to you.

Yes, for our DeliverMOO deliveries, we have to have a minimum order value.

DeliverMOO is one of the first ice cream home delivery service in the UK. Sending ice cream direct to your door isn't easy and maintaining a frozen delivery network is very expensive.

For Local Home Delivery, we use our own Marshfield Farm vans, who also deliver to our trade customers, and schedule delivery days to keep costs down.

For National Home Delivery, we use next day couriers combined with sustainably insulated dry ice to ensure your ice cream arrives to you safely.

While we do everything we can to keep this cost effective, it does mean our Local Home Delivery has a minimum order of £18 for free delivery and National Home Delivery has a minimum order of £24 and a £5 delivery charge.

Adding this cost has allowed us to use the most sustainable methods we can. This extra cost also means we have kept the cost of our ice cream units down, instead of adding hidden charges to each product price.

Our Local Home Deliveries are delivered in branded Marshfield Farm freezer vans, meaning your ice cream is kept in a freezer right up to the moment it reaches you.

Our National Home Delivery is sent in recyclable cardboard boxes containing a sealed bag of dry ice. To keep our ice cream tubs fully insulated, we line the boxes with recycled denim that otherwise would have been sent to landfill.

The contents of the box will remain frozen for up to 24 hours once it has left distribution - this means your box can be left on your doorstep well into the night.

We have two Home Delivery services depending on your postcode and how far away you are from the farm.

Local Home Delivery - local to the farm

National Home Delivery - further afield

Our Local Home Delivery is delivered by our Marshfield Farm drivers on your allocated day, which you select when ordering. They are able to leave it in a safe place, however please note your delivery is not insulated and so will not survive for long outside of a freezer.

Our National Home Delivery is delivered with DPD in a box containing dry ice. This means you don’t need to be in accept your delivery, if you are not in they will leave the ice cream in a safe place. The drivers are instructed delivery has to be made on first attempt.

You can track the progress of your parcels using the tracking link provided on the day of delivery where you will be given a time slot for delivery. As soon as you are home, check your order and pop your flavours in the freezer.

Please note, once the delivery have left the farm we do not have any control over them. If the ice cream arrives to the given shipping address within the 'next day delivery' window, we are not responsible for DPD's delivery. If ice cream has not arrived within the 'next day delivery' window please contact home@marshfield-icecream.co.uk.

Our Local Home Delivery is postcode dependant, and to keep our food miles low and to help you organise your orders, we have established the following Delivery Days for each postcode area:

  • Monday: BA1, BA2, BA3, BA11, BA12*, BA13, BA14, BA15, BS31, SN10
  • Tuesday: BS1, BS2, BS3, BS4, BS5, BS6, BS7, BS8, BS9, BS13, BS14, BS15, BS20, BS41, BS48
  • Wednesday: BS10, BS11, BS16, BS21, BS22*, BS30, BS34, BS39
  • Thursday: BS32, BS35, BS36, BS37, GL8, GL9, GL11, GL12, SN16
  • Friday: SN11, SN12, SN13, SN14, SN15

*Postcodes marked with a * are visited less often. Please select the next available delivery date at checkout. If you had previously received a local home delivery and we no longer deliver to your area, please send an email to info@marshfield-icecream.co.uk

At checkout, you will be now be able to select the next available date of delivery based on the above delivery days.

For National Home Delivery, we use DPD to deliver our ice cream every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. For next day delivery, order by 10am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. Orders placed after this cut of time (or on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday) will be delivered on Tuesday. This means:

  • Order by 10am Monday for Tuesday delivery
  • Order by 10am Tuesday for Wednesday delivery
  • Order by 10am Wednesday for Thursday delivery
  • Order by 10aThursday for Friday delivery
  • Order placed after 10aThursday (including Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday) will be grouped with our Monday orders for Tuesday delivery

Please check your order on delivery as once your have accepted the order, we are unable to swap or refund this product.

Notify home@marshfield-icecream.co.uk with any problems within 3 working days of expected delivery. Any problems reported after this time will not be able to be investigated further. To help our customer service team, please ensure you include your order number and confirm the delivery address within your email, as well as highlighting the problem.

For our Local Home Delivery customers, if there is no answer when our driver attempts delivery, we will ring your contact number provided at checkout.

As much as we'd love to leave your ice cream in a safe place, to save your flavours melting we'll taken your order back to the farm. You will receive a refund for your order. We wouldn't want you to miss out so, do put another order in for a more suitable time.

For our National Home Delivery, you ice cream is delivered in an insulated box, which can keep your ice cream frozen for up to 24 hours from dispatch. This usually means it can stay frozen in a safe place if you are not in for your delivery, however we advise you to get it in a freezer as quickly as possible.

We regret that we are unable to make any changes to an order after you have completed checkout. This includes changes to flavours, additional item requests or incorrect information stated during the order (typos or billing/shipping address in the wrong fields).

If you need to cancel your order, please forward your Order Confirmation email to us on our home@marshfield-icecream.co.uk email address. Please confirm in the email you wish to cancel your order and we will issue a refund. You can then place a new order with all the correct details as required.

All stocks are monitored closely to avoid 'Out of Stock' products. However, if a product is listed as ‘Out Of Stock’ we will do our best to get this back in stock as soon as possible. If we cannot organise ingredients/packaging for certain flavours, we may temporary take product pages down as we wait until stock can be made in our factory.

To hear about when a product is back in stock, sign up to back in stock notifications on the product page.

For National Home Delivery customers, we stock a reduced number of flavours. You can request to be notified for when your favourite flavour is coming to the range and we use these requests as a form of 'voting' system, to list the flavours which are most in demand. You will receive an email alert when your flavour is available to order.

Our ice cream range contains a variety of sizes, from individual 125ml Mini Tubs to larger 5 litre 'scooping' tubs, or our 1 Litre Family Tubs which is our Home Delivery standard size.

We advise you check on the DeliverMOO shop page to see what is available to order in your area.

If buying directly from us the minimum order is just £50+vat. Our wholesalers all have different minimum order values which we can advise you on.

We do not make any nut flavours or use any nut ingredients in our ice cream. However, we cannot guarantee our suppliers' products are produced in a nut free factory and we therefore advice the product may contain nuts.

Yes, our Plant Based ice creams and sorbets are made to a vegan recipe. We advise any customer who has a dairy intolerance or allergy to speak with a member of staff before buying a product. They will be able to advise how they handle allergens at site and if a product is free from cross contamination.

Please check the packaging before you purchase any of our products, this will clearly state the recipe and any allergy metrics.

Our Fruit Push-Up Pops and sorbets are all made without dairy, making them suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Our final products are not certified organic as many of our ingredients are sourced from external companies without the organic status. However, because our farm is organic, the milk that goes into every tub of ice cream is organic milk. We only ever use our milk in our ice cream, this means that over 50% of every tub is made up of our own organic milk.

The additional ingredients we use in our products are as natural and of the highest quality as we can find. These may not be able to be sourced as organic, or using an organic source, as to do so proves rather expensive.

No, all our ice creams and sorbets are free from artificial colours and flavourings, making them perfect for the whole family.

Our Scoop’s dog ice cream is made to a specialist dog-friendly recipe. Loosely based around our own ice cream mixes and made with fresh farm milk from our herd, we’ve then reduced the lactose content for dog’s with sensitive tummies.

In our Vanilla ice cream, we’ve added Joint Aid for Dogs from GWF Nutrition, a natural joint supplement containing Glucosamine and Vitamin C for joint and muscle support.

Our new Mint flavoured Scoop’s ice cream is made with added Odour Aid for Dogs from GWF Nutrition, a natural breath freshener with Chlorophyll and Omega 3 to help fight nasty bacteria in the mouth and gut.

Scoop is our family farm dog who is always at our side (quite literally, she’s a bit of a shadow!) In 2018, we flouted the idea of making a dog-friendly ice cream for Scoop, thinking it would be popular at our summer parlour for the pooches that visit. We named the ice cream after the little lady herself and the diva has most definitely loved the attention … Fast forward a few years and it’s one of our biggest selling ice cream flavour – that’s including our human ice cream!

Scoop has become a wee bit of a celebrity and we continue to share her pictures, and all her furry friends, over on our Instagram @scoopsdogicecream
