Looking to treat your team to a freezer full of ice cream? Or how about an extra sweet surprise delivery to your office?

Thanks to our National Delivery service, we can POST our ice cream anywhere in the country. We can also provide office drops for teams closer to the farm. Get in touch with our friendly team and email home@marshfield-icecream.co.uk to find out how we can tailor a corporate package to your needs.

Please help us re-use insulation by sending them back to us.

We offer a free returns program. We ask that you send a minimum of 2 boxes worth of liners (enough to fill a box) back to us, but the more liners you can collect and send in one go the better as this is more efficient – environmentally and economically.

All we ask you to do is email home@marshfield-icecream.co.uk and we will send you a label to attach to the box and ret urn via DHL Service Point.

You can find your nearest DHL Service point

Dry ice is safe and will be sent in a sealed, labelled envelope. Please do not open the contents and touch it directly with your hands as it can cause freezer burn. Once you have unboxed your delivery, leave the dry ice in a well-ventilated space (away from little hands!) for 24 hours or until it is fully evaporated. All that will be left is the wrapper it came in which can be dispose of in normal waste.

Cardboard Box: This is 100% recyclable and can be recycled at home in your card recycling.

LinersWe use state of the art recycled off cuts from the cotton industry. These are offcuts that would previously have been going into landfill – giving garments a longer lifeCotton is biodegradable and 100% reusable. We are accepting clean liners back to the farm for re-using (please see below FAQ)

Dry Ice Barrier Bag: Once the dry ice has evaporated, separate the bubble from the paper envelope, and recycle as normal.

Ice Cream TubsThe plastic lids and cardboard bases are widely accepted in local curb side collections.

Yes! We think sending ice cream is the perfect gift and our national home delivery service has been developed with this in mindAt checkout, we can add a gift message to your order at no extra cost. Make sure to add in the giftee’s delivery address and any delivery instructions that may be needed.

Our national boxes are fully insulated and can be left on a doorstep if the giftee is not in. However, we would recommend advising the lucky recipient about the delivery on the day so they know to expect a parcel (and put the contents in the freezer!)

We can deliver almost anywhere in the UK, however some areas of the Scottish Highlands and Islands are not within a next-day shipping zone and therefore we cannot sustain a frozen temperature for the time it takes to deliver here.

At checkout, an error message will pop up if we are unable to deliver to you.

We regret that we are unable to make any changes to an order after you have completed checkout. This includes changes to flavours, additional item requests or incorrect information stated during the order (typos or billing/shipping address in the wrong fields).

If you need to cancel your order, please forward your Order Confirmation email to us on our home@marshfield-icecream.co.uk email address. Please confirm in the email you wish to cancel your order and we will issue a refund. You can then place a new order with all the correct details as required.

Yes, sending ice cream is an expensive business! Due to next day delivery costs and packaging, sustainable insulation and dry ice, we have a £5 delivery charge on all national delivery boxes. Minimum order is £24 for national delivery, this is the equivalent of a full box.

Adding this cost has allowed us to use the most sustainable methods we can. This extra cost also means we have kept the cost of our ice cream units down, instead of adding hidden charges to each product price.

We post our ice cream in recyclable cardboard boxes containing a sealed bag of dry ice.

To keep our ice cream tubs fully insulated, we line the boxes with recycled denim that otherwise would have been sent to landfill.

The contents of the box will remain frozen for up to 30 hours once it has left distribution - this means your box can be left on your doorstep well into the night.

With our national home delivery service, you don’t need to be in accept your delivery! We ship our parcels with DHL, if you are not in they will leave the ice cream in a safe place. The drivers are instructed delivery has to be made on first attempt.

You can track the progress of your parcels using the tracking link provided on the day of delivery where you will be given a time slot for delivery. As soon as you are home, check your order and pop your flavours in the freezer.

Please note, once the delivery have left the farm we do not have any control over them. If the ice cream arrives to the given shipping address within the 'next day delivery' window, we are not responsible for DHL's delivery. If ice cream has not arrived within the 'next day delivery' window please contact home@marshfield-icecream.co.uk.

We use DHL to deliver our ice cream every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. For next day delivery, order by 12pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. Orders placed after this cut of time (or on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday) will be delivered on Wednesday. This means:

  • Order by 12pm Tuesday for Wednesday delivery
  • Order by 12pm Wednesday for Thursday Delivery
  • Order by 12pm Thursday for Friday delivery
  • Order placed after 12pm Thursday (including Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday) will be grouped with our Tuesday orders for Wednesday delivery

Yes, you can! We understand some of our customers would like their ice cream quicker than our Deliver Moo drivers can bring it to you, or perhaps you need ice cream to be left in a safe place where you’re out of the house.

To send our ice cream further afield, we are packing our ice cream in boxes with sustainable insulation and freezing the contents with dry ice. Ice cream in these boxes can remain frozen for up to 30 hours.

We have listed our best-selling flavours for national delivery and we will be changing the items based on demand (so make sure to let us know what you would like to see next!) Due to the size of our box, we are able to sell our 1 litre family and 125ml individual tubs for national delivery. We have a limited range to help up manage stock.

We have a £24 minimum order for national delivery, this is the equivalent to a full box.

Please note: our local deliveries continue and information for this differs to our national deliver. Please find this listed in our local home deliver FAQ list.

Please check your order on delivery as once your have accepted the order, we are unable to swap or refund this product.

If there is no answer when our driver attempts delivery, we will ring your contact number provided at checkout.

As much as we'd love to leave your ice cream in a safe place, to save your flavours melting we'll taken your order back to the farm. You will receive a refund for your order. We wouldn't want you to miss out so, do put another order in for a more suitable time.

All stocks are monitored closely to avoid 'Out of Stock' products. However, if a product is listed as ‘Out Of Stock’ we will do our best to get this back in stock as soon as possible. If we cannot organise ingredients/packaging for certain flavours, we may temporary take product pages down as we wait until stock can be made in our factory.

To hear about when a product is back in stock, sign up to back in stock notifications on the product page.

We stock our full flavour list on our website. As flavours are mixed in the factory and when packaging is available, we continue to add more 1 litre tub flavours to our range based on requests from our Deliver Moo Customers.

We send out a series of shipping notifications as we organise your order. We have listed these below in order so you know what to expect.

Order Confirmation: This is automatically generated from our website when payment has been successfully taken. On this email you will find a link to track your order - keep checking this link as this information page will automatically update with your order's progress on delivery day.

Shipping Updates: The day before your scheduled delivery day, we will send an email to let you know your order is on its way. We can now provide an estimated delivery window based on where your order falls within our route. This will give you a 3 hour time slot.

On the day of delivery, you will also receive:

  • Your delivery is on it's way! An email on the day of delivery as our Drivers leave the farm with your ice cream order. It will also show you a timed delivery window of when to expect your order.

Ensure you always shake excess water off your scoop, make sure that your freezer is cold enough and doesn’t fluctuate in temperature too much, and replace the clean lids of half-used tubs each night.

Luckily, it does not require much special attention. But it is worth doing the following: make sure the freezer is out of direct sunlight and ensure compressor vents are unobstructed, regularly wipe off condensation on glass sliding lids to prevent ice build-up, keep the lids clean and cover with the lid (or clingfilm) every night to prevent ice forming on the surface of the ice cream.

With proper management and consistency, you will get 30-35 scoops from a four-litre tub and 40-45 scoops from a Napoli tray.

For long-term storage you should store ice cream at -18C or below. If you are scooping the ice cream you may wish to run your freezer very slightly warmer to make it easier to scoop – many run their freezers at -16C in these situations.

We offer a very comprehensive range of POS for trade customers in both catering and retail outlets. We are also able to offer customers bespoke POS so please get in touch to discuss your requirements. Please discuss this with your Marshfield Farm Sales Manager to explore advertising.

We do make local deliveries so please contact us about availability and distribution. For customers not within our 40 mile approx. delivery area, we will put you in touch with frozen food wholesalers who cover the whole of the UK.

If buying directly from us the minimum order is just £50+vat. Our wholesalers all have different minimum order values which we can advise you on.

We currently create almost 30 flavours of ice cream and four flavours of sorbet – we usually add one or two new flavours each year to keep things fresh and exciting! We make ice cream in 125ml, 180ml, 500ml, 1 litre, 4 litre and 5 litre tubs. Dependent on the popularity of the flavour, you will find some of our flavours in multi pack sizes and others exclusive to scooping.

You can view our current flavours and the pack sizes they are available in by visiting our Flavour page or downloading our Flavour List above.

If you are a school or college and would like to bring your class to visit the farm or ice cream factory as part of your classwork, then please have a look at our community work page.

Yes, you can! Please visit our hire page for information on how to have Marshfield Farm Ice Cream at your event or celebration. You can rent equipment and buy stock directly from us. We also work with a number of ice cream companies who specialise in weddings, shows, fetes and festivals and use traditional bikes, trailers or even a retro VW van – all filled with our ice creams and sorbets.

As a business, Marshfield Farm is continually working to minimise its environmental footprint and has always embraced new green energy developments.

On the farm, we aim to be at the forefront of green energy: we endeavour to minimalise our environmental footprint by using a wood pellet boiler (which means our factory is 100% carbon neutral), borehole and heat recovery systems to reduce energy output directly from milk production. While our application for a wind turbine was turned down as the farm land is classified as outstanding natural beauty, 500 photovoltaic solar panels provide approximately 30% of all our electricity requirements.

Our air miles are as low as possible: 75% of the ingredients we use are from within 50 miles of the farm, 95% of the food the cows eat is produced on the farm and, because all our products are made on the farm, there are just a few yards between the milking parlour and the ice cream parlour so lots of travel is on foot!

You cannot buy our ice cream in national chain supermarkets. As a local business we are proud to sell in independent outlets across the country and do not supply to any supermarket nationally. Check out our map of stockists and enter your postcode to find your nearest stockist.

Yes you can! We offer both trade and home delivery to 40 mile approx. radius around the farm.

Find out more about home delivery:

In the summer months, we've renovated one of our old farm buildings into an ice cream parlour, allowing us to showcase the entire Marshfield range. We have all our tubs at hand to take home with you, or take a seat and let us scoop you a cone, tub or a range of sundaes and other treats. The parlour is open on weekends and you can find out when we open on our Parlour page.

Our ice cream really is made on the farm unlike some other ‘farm produced’ ice creams. The Hawking family have farmed this land since 1971 and organic farming has become a way of life for us. From the 6AM early start each day in our milking parlour, to creating sensational new recipes in our ice creamery, we are devoted to making sure each hand-filled tub, cone and scoop is as good as the very best dairy ice cream should be.

Our herd of 250 Friesian cows roam over 1,100 acres of farm land which is farmed organically to Soil Association certifications so all the milk used in our ice creams is organic. We source the best natural ingredients containing no artificial nasties; there are no cheap ‘fillers’ in our products.

We also own our farm which means we don’t have layers of management or fancy factories. This keeps our costs low and we pass this onto our customers in the form of great products at affordable prices!

We want to ensure that everybody tastes our passion that we put into every lick, crunch and satisfying mouthful of our ice cream; from the royal palaces to the most beautiful spots on our coast and countryside, you’ll find us across the country. We all feel incredibly proud to be part of the Marshfield community, and it’s a privilege to work on an organic dairy farm, making ice cream so close to its roots on the land that we love.

Yes. Our Rum & Raisin ice cream uses a 40% proof alcohol, however when mixed with our milk, cream and ingredient inclusions this reduces the percentage to less than 3%. We provide a full chemical clean down of our factory between making each flavour, meaning there will be no cross contamination of flavourings.

Palm oil is not used in our ice cream base mix, but some of the added ingredient inclusions do contain palm fat - however only from certified sustainable sources.

We do not make any nut flavours or use any nut ingredients in our ice cream. However, we cannot guarantee our suppliers' products are produced in a nut free factory and we therefore advice the product may contain nuts.

Yes, our plant based ice creams are made to a vegan recipe. We advise any customer who has a dairy intolerance or allergy to speak with a member of staff before buying a product. They will be able to advise how they handle allergens at site and if a product is free from cross contamination.

Please check the packaging before you purchase any of our products, this will clearly state the recipe and any allergy metrics.

Our Fruit Push-Up Pops and sorbets are all made without dairy, making them suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Unfortunately we no longer produce diabetic ice cream flavours as the diabetic associate advices business should no longer produce diabetic products, and individuals with diabetes should instead eat products in moderation as opposed to substituting sugar.

Our final products are not certified organic as many of our ingredients are sourced from external companies without the organic status. However, because our farm is organic, the milk that goes into every tub of ice cream is organic milk. We only ever use our milk in our ice cream, this means that over 50% of every tub is made up of our own organic milk.

The additional ingredients we use in our products are as natural and of the highest quality as we can find. These may not be able to be sourced as organic, or using an organic source, as to do so proves rather expensive.

The entire Marshfield Farm range of ice creams and sorbets is suitable for vegetarians.

Our sorbet range is gluten free and suitable for coeliacs.

Our fruit pops and our  sorbet range are suitable for a vegan diet. We have also developed two plant based ice creams, these are suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

All but 4 of our ice cream flavours are made without gluten. Our Cookies and Cream, Raspberry Ripple Pavlova, Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Cookie Dough all contain gluten due to the ingredient inclusions rippled through these ice creams - for further information on our products please refer to our flavour list page.

No, all our ice creams and sorbets are free from artificial colours and flavourings, making them perfect for the whole family.

Please visit our flavours page for full nutritional breakdowns of all of our products. With a galaxy of every-expanding flavours, all our ice cream flavours are made from our organic milk and 100% natural flavours, with our sorbet range and fruit pops suitable for vegans.

On average, half of our finished product across the ice cream range is filled with our organic milk produced by our own herd of Friesian cows – the distance this ingredient has to travel is just a few metres! The rest is made up of the finest ingredients we can lay our hands on – sourced as locally as possible.

75% of our ingredients come from within a 50-mile radius of the farm, allowing us to use entirely natural and locally sourced ingredients where possible. Not only does this reduce our food miles, we can work in partnership with other local business and solidify West Country relations. Ingredients that can’t be found locally are the best we can find. For instance, our Vanilla Clotted Cream ice cream contains the finest, natural vanilla flavouring from Madagascar. 80% of our base mix is made from ingredients sourced from within a 50 mile radius, with 50% actually taken from the cows that graze on our land!

Make sure the door closes properly and the seal is in tact.

There are certain factors, like the humidity of the air around the appliance, the frequency with which the door is open which can affect the amount of frosting that occurs. Defrost the unit frequently (minimum of once a week for a full defrost)

If a smell develops after the unit has been operating for a while (eg. a rotten, mouldy or decaying smell), this can only be caused by something not connected with the appliance itself.

Remove all product and switch off the unit.

Residues of ice cream on glass shelves and in the seals etc. Clean and sterilise thoroughly using diluted Milton sterilising liquid or bicarbonate of soda as instructed above.

Ice cream may have found its way onto the compressor and evaporation tray via the defrost drain. The residual heat given off by the compressor will cause ice cream remnants to emit unpleasant smells which can penetrate back into the appliance via the defrost water drain.

The compressor is the black motor type device, at the back of the unit, usually on the right hand side as you are facing the back of the unit. Above the compressor there will be a tray. Please do not remove it, but use paper towelling, jay-cloths or similar to mop up as much of the build up as possible.

Then dilute some Milton sterilising liquid or bicarbonate of soda in an egg cup full of warm water and pour this down the drainage channel, which is located in the gulley above the ice cream display. This will ensure that any remaining bacteria or fungi that is collecting in the pipework or in the evaporator tray will be killed off and should get rid of the smell.

If you are experiencing some drainage issues we recommend a standard, plastic bendy drinking straw inserted into the drainage hole to a depth of 6 - 8 inches, this should move any blockage and hopefully solve the problem.

You could also use a pipe cleaner or cotton bud but we DO NOT suggest you use solid objects like screwdrivers.

Some noises eg compressor or fan operating noises happen for technical reasons. Noises like humming, hissing, bubbling or gurgling are normal and cannot be avoided. However any extreme noise should be checked by an engineer.

It is recommended that you wipe clean the unit every day to keep it looking clean and appealing. We recommend you do a full defrost once a week as a minimum.  Remove the ice cream and store it elsewhere. Unplug and allow it to defrost, then clean with warm water.

Your freezer has been manufactured for indoors use and we do not recommend any freezer for outdoor use.

If however you want to take advantage of enhanced sales opportunities by moving it outside you should be aware that any warranty will be void and that you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance and ongoing mechanical up-keep of the unit.

If you do use outside, please observe the following:

  • its power source must be protected from rain and damp (it is an electrical appliance and is dangerous if wet)
  • protect it as much as possible from the elements (wind, rain, sun)
  • protect from direct sunlight.
  • If using an extension cable make sure it is a heavy duty type and we recommend only the freezer should be plugged into it.
  • after moving it into position please allow time for the internal gasses to settle before plugging in. We recommend ?

You may notice an excess of condensation and ice build up - This is due to ambient temperature fluctuations and changes in the weather.

You may also notice your ice cream is melting on the top - This will be due to the greenhouse effect through the glass.  Marshfield Farm Ice Cream will not be responsible for any loss of stock.

You will find that the dust build up on the motor and condenser coils accumulates faster - Your freezer will keep temperature better and last longer if you clean this dust away regularly.

Yes. We recommend that you leave at least 5cm free space around all sides of any unit to allow for good airflow. Failure to do this could result in poor performance or even it breaking down.

All freezers purchased on the Marshfield shop will be provided with Marshfield branding. If you require your own choice of branding please discuss with your Sales Manager.

If you have a warranty issue with your freezer during the warranty period, please call the number on the back of the unit. You will need to advise them of the serial number and model which can also be found on the back of the unit.

We do not offer a service for units out of warranty, we can however provide details for local engineers that we use in your area – you are however under no obligation to use them.

In the first instance please check your freezer manual for information on how to adjust the temperature. Adjustment for every freezer is slightly different - we have recorded a series of videos on how to do this on our most popular freezers.

Check your power supply including that plug is not damaged, the extension lead is receiving power and that plugs are fully inserted into socket. Try another appliance that you know is working in the same socket.

All new freezers are supplied with a 1 Year parts and labour warranty. Second hand freezers will have no warranty supplied.

If the unit will not fit through the door, or there is no one on site to accept delivery or your site has restrictions eg. stairs, no parking outside etc there will be an abortive delivery charge added to your account to cover the failed delivery charge. Please therefore ensure that the unit will fit through your door and to the place where it will be installed before placing your order.

The unit will be unwrapped and taken to the place of installation by the delivery driver. The unit then needs to stand for a minimum of 4 hours before plugging it in and 12 hours before putting any stock in.

When the unit is unwrapped, you will be asked to sign for it. Please only sign for the unit if you are fully satisfied, as once signed for this acts as confirmation by you that you are happy with the unit.

The purchase price includes delivery to an unrestricted UK mainland postcode.

Standard delivery is between 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday, except bank holidays. If you require a delivery outside these times please contact the Customer Service Team who will be able to advise you of any additional charge.

The freezer will arrive within 7 to 10 working days from ordering.

The transport company will text your mobile number to advise the scheduled delivery day. Standard deliveries will not be made on weekends and bank holidays.

Our freezers are available to order on our POS Shop, located in our new trade hub. To get access you’ll need to be verified as a Marshfield Farm stockist. Find out more here.

After you have completed the check-out process, you will receive an email confirming your order and payment. Please tag us in your photos on Instagram under, you can search for us under ‘scoopsdogicecream’. We try to repost as many of the photos as we can but we’re afraid we can’t share them all. But rest assured, when you tag us, this will automatically add your photo to our tagged images so all our followers can see your pooch enjoy their tub.

In an aim to reduce single use plastic, we decided to remove the plastic spoon from this packaging. We have found most dogs are more than happy to lick the ice cream directly from the tub and including a spoon in the lid (if accidentally consumed by over enthusiastic pups) might cause a choking hazard!

This product is designed for dogs and has not been tested for cats to consume.

Like many dog treats, it is recommended that ice cream is a treat for adult dogs. If you are unsure, please ask your vets.

This product has been designed as a product for your pet dog, although the majority of the ingredients are not harmful to humans we do advise that humans do not eat it.  The health supplement added to the Vanilla ice cream contains traces of allergens including crustaceans and oats (gluten).

Scoop’s Ice Cream for Dogs is made to be eaten as an occasional, frozen treat after a long walk along the beach or to cool down our furry friends on a hot day. While there are no governmental guidelines on quantities of frozen treats allowed in a dog’s diet, one tub is a single serving and we advice not to give any dog more treats than your vet would recommend.

Take a look at the map on our Scoop's page to find your nearest dog ice cream supplier. We’d recommend you contact the site before travelling far to ensure they have stock.

Our Scoop’s dog ice cream is made to a specialist dog-friendly recipe. Loosely based around our own ice cream mixes and made with fresh farm milk from our herd, we’ve then reduced the lactose content for dog’s with sensitive tummies.

In our Vanilla ice cream, we’ve added Joint Aid for Dogs from GWF Nutrition, a natural joint supplement containing Glucosamine and Vitamin C for joint and muscle support.

Our new Mint flavoured Scoop’s ice cream is made with added Odour Aid for Dogs from GWF Nutrition, a natural breath freshener with Chlorophyll and Omega 3 to help fight nasty bacteria in the mouth and gut.

Scoop is our family farm dog who is always at our side (quite literally, she’s a bit of a shadow!) In 2018, we flouted the idea of making a dog-friendly ice cream for Scoop, thinking it would be popular at our summer parlour for the pooches that visit. We named the ice cream after the little lady herself and the diva has most definitely loved the attention … Fast forward a few years and it’s one of our biggest selling ice cream flavour – that’s including our human ice cream!

Scoop has become a wee bit of a celebrity and we continue to share her pictures, and all her furry friends, over on our Instagram @scoopsdogicecream
