Deliver Moo's Frozen Fund for Key Workers

April 16, 2020

We are donating a percentage of profits from our Deliver Moo, Home Delivery Service into a Frozen Fund for Key Workers and to the farm's Nominated Charities.

This is our small way of saying thank you to Key Workers in the hopes we can add some smile's back into the world where they're needed most.

16th April 2020 Update

Thanks to your support so far, we've visited Bristol's Southmead Hospital and Bath's Royal United Hospital with ice cream deliveries for the incredible team working on the front lines for our NHS. We have also left a freezer filled with ice cream for the RUH's staff grocery store in the hospital's Landsdown Restaurant.

Within the RUH they have what they describe as 'wobble rooms'; these are a safe place where the staff 'can go to take a pause and ground themselves if they are feeling overwhelmed'. We're making good use of our parlour's coffee machine and have left this with them for one of these rooms.

25th April 2020 Update

On a very sunny Thursday, we had the pleasure of dropping in ice cream to the teams across Chippenham Community Hospital.

We received lots of requests for the entirety of the hospital staff and here's the team in the Birthing Centre with boxes full of mini tubs to share around.

1st May 2020 Update

Dawn & Will visited Dorothy House with over 100 tubs of ice cream for the staff and patients at the Winsley Hospice.

As an incredible, local charity close to so many hearts, we were thrilled when the winner of our fundraising competition for Jamie's Farm chose to donate their prize to Dorothy House! We then decided to top up the competition winnings using our 'Frozen Fund for Key Workers' and we hope we managed to spread a few smiles to the staff and patients at Dorothy House.

If you would like to support Dorothy House, please visit their Facebook page and join in with their new fundraising campaign, encouraging people to 'Smile, Donate and Nominate'. You can share your smile with their patients, carers and families on their fundraising website.

5th May 2020 Update

As you can see in the photos below, Dawn popped down into Bristol city centre and was met with a very welcoming response from the Bristol East Police Response Team!

21st May 2020 Update

Following your Frozen Fund nominations, yesterday Dawn & Will travelled into Bath and visited five Julian House project sites with 130 tubs of ice cream for Key Workers, Clients and Volunteers for this incredible regional charity.

Julian House have a vision "to create a just society where socially excluded people are supported and empowered to build sustainable, independent lives." Their care includes a range of homeless services, support for those suffering domestic violence, work experience and training - the list goes on! To discover more and to support Julian House, please visit their website.

22nd May 2020 Update

We were delighted to provide a Frozen Fund ice cream drop to Stainsbridge House in Malmesbury. This care home specialises in caring for elderly patients who suffer with dementia, bringing ice cream treats to the residents and carers was our absolute pleasure🍦

31st May 2020 Update

We're still responding to your Frozen Fund requests!

In May, Laura contacted us on Facebook with a lovely request to visit her team at Swindon's Orbital Unit. As an external part of the Great Western Foundation Trust outside the hospital, Laura mentioned the team sometimes go missed. This is where we knew we had to step in!

While we were in the area visiting our Deliver Moo customers, we were thrilled to pop by on a hot day with treats for the hospital staff, including District Nurses, Specialist Services, Physios, OTs and all of the Admin team for community services. Thank you Laura and we hope your team enjoyed their frozen treats!

11th June 2020 Update

It's not just ice cream we're donating! Following a shout-out on Linkedin from Jo Wrate at A.F. Blakemore and Son Ltd, we gifted ten large storage freezers to the Food Share Project, an organisation that supports food banks and helps those in crisis.

As you can see in the photos below, Dawn quickly jumped to reclaiming and organising these freezers after which they were shipped to site to be utilised by the project in their new forever home. Thank you so much for the gorgeous 'thank you flowers' Jo! Find out more about the incredible work the team do on their Facebook page.

26th June 2020 Update

We'll leave the talking to Alison from Cepen Lodge Care Home to tell you about these wonderful photos!

"Hi, this is Alison from Cepen Lodge care home in Chippenham. You very kindly sent us some ice cream, it was very much enjoyed by the residents and staff, it was lovely to have a variety of flavours and the staff are still talking about how nice the flavours were they especially liked the Salted Caramel.

I have attached a couple of photos of the residents enjoying the ice cream, one photo was by our beach we made for the residents this week we have had lovely discussions about the seaside and the ice cream just made the week."

We donated 80 tubs in total to our friends at Cepen Lodge, making sure there was enough ice cream to go around all the Staff and Residents!

Going forward ...
